Nellers, I’m kind of a “all or nothing” guy, that works best for me. :) either I do it, and forget about it, and just keeping the habit. Or I don’t. But I will try to settle in to something that might work better.
As it is now I really hate getting down doing the work. But I like the idea, and I have really benefited from doing this much pressups.

How about setting a weekly, rather than a daily, target? That way you can have a rest day, maybe more than one, but when you do the "work days" you're not just doing them for nothing. It's still hitting a target.

UltraDunc :) yea I might incorporate rest days, and not “damn I can’t be bothered” days.

Nellers that might work, although, I like to be ahead, so I probably try to do them all as soon as possible, rather than wait, and then I’m back to building up a mountain, at start of the week and not every day. 😂

One thing that works ok is to do them while I’m out running my slow days, I stope every 2-5 km and do a set, then I’m done when I get back home.

Well I think will keep trying to maintain the habit of a little bit every day, I think that’s the melody for me. I’m just in a rut right now. :)

I have rest days where I just do one set of 50 which is relative to a mile in a running streak. It may seem like a lot but it is only a small fraction of my daily average.

Nellers do you get any lactic pain in the shoulders after a set while out running?

It’s not a problem for me because I’m still not back to running yet since the Achilles issue flared up before Xmas.

When I’ve mixed running and press ups in the past it’s been in a “Murph” workout, so 1 mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 press ups, 300 squats, 1 mile run. I was breaking up middle bit to 5/10/15 reps per round rather than the big blocks together.

From memory I think shoulder fatigue from the press ups was the least of my concerns though!😉

UltraDunc yes i might do that.
I tend to keep at 200 a day when I do it, or nothing at all.
