I used to have decent upper body strength but then I switched from doing triathlons to pure running and I now have very weak arms.
2018 will be year of the press up - the most basic upper body exercise. I'm aiming for 5,000 this year and kicked off with 30 today. Anyone want join me?

Initially 5,000 seemed so many but figure that's 10 on the morning and 10 at night for 5 days per week on average...
OK done 10 this morning so a week behind but am going to give it a go ☺

Good stuff. I figured 100 per week was a reasonable target

I'm up for this, I used to do a few press ups at the gym last year, but no gym anymore.

Count me in, I need to add some strength training to my schedule and a press up target will help me stick to it

I might consider this, will you be doing a spreadsheet link for it?

I was assuming people would keep their own tally and then post on the thread. I could set up an article which can be edited?

That's a neat target Dave. My normal routine is to do 25-30 4-5 days a week when I get in from my morning run which ties in nicely.
