A good workout in the forest this morning with two running friends. This comprised 2 sets of 5 x 200 metres with 30 seconds recoveries, and then a 1k effort.

Another 5 mile recovery run planned for today. 5 miles done but I did 'hills' vague inclines I suppose actually. I have a lumpy 6 mile race next Friday evening.

In line with you gg and to stop the shakes I had to go back out of the door to do another 0.2 miles after my proper run this morning 😂 It made my best month's total for seven years and a nice rounded figure of 131.

Back to your quality workouts after that 10k hs, well done on getting back to it.
Good to see you doing recovery runs FF.

Great running and extra special congratulations to Steve for a cracking month.

I’ve declared on 170 this month my highest ever, so happy to be feeling this good after the big one.

Boating going well the olds are cheating BUT I lost my purse yesterday never have cash but in an attempt to beat my uncle to the bill I had cash on me. Not a lot but enough to pinch. Just hope whoever found it if they don’t hand it in needed it. So that’s my shopping habits curtailed - saved me a fortune yesterday alone.

Good luck with next Friday's lumpy 6 miles race FF.

Well done Steve for your best monthly mileage for 7 years. Way above mine.

Thanks for your support of my training.

Congratulations GG for your best ever monthly mileage.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your purse, but luckily not too much money.

I did a nice solo jog this morning round one of our original 5k road courses. I was overtaken running up one of the hills by a younger man, and had to resist the temptation to overtake him.

Well done Steve great mileage. I had my poorest since I was sick last Sept. I did do 135 on my bike so hoping no fitness lost.

That’s annoying GG.

I forced myself out to do 6 miles today which took me to 77. At least there’s an extra day in July 😆

Well done Steve.

I skipped my run this morning, the heavens opened just as I went out and I changed my mind. Turned into a nice day though. Will go tomorrow instead, even if it is raining. RD at Parkrun this Saturday for me.

Welcome back Muttley, hope your calf is ok now.

Oh no GG, hopefully some kind soul has handed it in somewhere for you.

Good running everyone. Can't believe tomorrow is July, 2 weeks and the wee man will be 3 eek.

Thanks folks! My mileage in fact has only been bettered on three occasions in the last 20 years!

Good discipline not to zoom up a hill chasing a younger runner hs!

There's a half mile long hill near me which I used to run up until three or four years ago. I say "run" but in timing it it proved more advantageous for me to walk up it briskly when it was included in a 10k route.
Chilly start to July and just a 5k to start the month. On roads again which are wonderfully quiet at 6.15 am
