The application form is quite factual, it doesn't ask you to sell yourself, it doesn't ask why you are worthy.

That's the idea! Those that want to do it and for the right reasons will add information that sells them and why they should be considered. If you just stick to factual bullet points and demonstrate that you can't be arsed to add anymore then they won't select you.

Well, soon enough, there will be preps being made -and blogs starting up- for the 2013 10in10. As far as 2012 goes, I hope that we all kept up the true passion for the event and that we inspired others to go forth and do the same. I would love to think that I added a few 'highlights' on the videos for the masses to enjoy, but Martin was busy filming the real stuff whilst Toks and I sang Jar Of Hearts and Set Fire To The Rain to a field of perturbed sheep as we tried to senselessly get one foot in front of the other. The Brathay Trust, and indeed the fundraising flagship that is the 10in10, is a Legacy that I hope we maintained with similar class and dignity as the previous 5 events have done and it would be wonderful if the 2013 lot (batch 7) can raise the funds and put on a great show. I will be back in rainy Cumbria to assist and hen run on the final Sunday, I also hope to make the reunion at Great Langdale, I will also be adding supportive comments to the 2013 forum as I now know that they will need all the help that they can get. The Brathay 10in10ers are a strange family indeed. Even when I was being harshly criticised by my peers; I understood their need to be brutally honest towards me. I also fully appreciated the overwhelming support from the TiT's as very few people 'get it'.
For me the day-in-day-out aspect overcame me, and my bloody awful rip at Newby Bridge should have been the end of my journey but this event has very little to do with expensive running shoes on Tarmac. Too many people to thank............................... Best of luck to 2013 TiT's !!!!!!!! God Bless Flyboydavey xxx
