Currently 340 miles short!
But...did my first "run" today since breaking my foot on 14th October --on the treadmill under my physio ' s guidance in my local gym. Total of 0.9 miles . Onwards now.
Think I would've managed 1500 if ....!!!

I shall be 40+ short I think as I shall be adding another 30 miles for the 100 mile month.

Really pleased for you torey I hope you get on ok and I'm sure 2024 will see you back to full strength soon enough.

Continued recovery/ rehab with one minute run/one minute walk x10. Going along ok , foot a bit stiff for first three or four but then loosens up. Thanks Ness and Festive Flier.

Well done to everyone who's made it and those who are almost there.

This year has gone better than I'd hoped. Setting targets seems to have jinxed the last couple of year for me, so I originally just sort of informally aimed to get 1200 for the year. I have actually managed to reach 1477 as of today, so 1500 might just be possible - 23 between now and next Monday! Fingers crossed.

Excellent, Doc, that should definitely be doable! I'm now on 1494.4, so 6 miles tomorrow will hopefully get the job done!

I'm an awful lot closer than I expected now being on 1480. No run tomorrow so just Sunday to go, we'll see where I end up but whatever the final total I'm closer to it than I expected a few weeks ago.

Well done, jabberknit and FF.

I'm just popping in to the thread to let you know my decision to make a change to my training focus for next year. I blogged about it here....

fetcheveryone.com/blog-share.php?id=476887

This means I won't be attempting a target of 1,500 miles in 2024. I will do a roundup for December to finish off but then hope someone else will take charge of the 1500 thread. We could either ask Fetch if he'd mind changing who maintains this thread, or, maybe it'd be easier if someone started a new thread.

I really want to thank everyone who visits this thread for their supportive and positive comments. I just know that 1,500 miles a year is a bit too much for me.
