Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Fartleks on trails, apart from one short tarmac section between two trails.
On the first trail, I chose the fartleks on the even sections, with recoveries on the rutted ones.
On the second trail, which was flat grass, I chose the fartleks on the tailwind sections, with recoveries inbetween.

I was very surprised I managed this because my legs were so tired and clumpy after Pilates and yoga that the first 0.45 mile was very slow and uncomfortable, and after the first few fartleks I was wanting to finish after each one. Perhaps it was the thought of otherwise having a very long cool down walk that made me carry on, although the several stops for gates, road crossings, and ditches helped by giving me extra recovery.

Perhaps your legs were happier running a little quicker 😉
Flatlander
You are quite right, I have noticed that myself. Unfortunately, the legs can't run quicker at the moment. :-p
