mags Hardest race ever. Ran fast from start trying to sort out my pace, k nowing I have done 1 48 in October in Aviemore. Ist mistake started dehydrated and forgot my water, 2 nd mistake slept in and didn't have breakfast! So for my 5k 22minutes, 10k 48 minutes, at 12 miles 1h 36 thought I could get 1h47 and then whoosh blurred vision , really struggling took me 12 minutes to do the last mile! Am gutted.Was battling for 2nd women in and ended up 3rd women in .Enjoyed it overall , have never had burning calves from hills before so that was a new experience, I obviously have to improve my hill running. BUt it was exciting because it was such a small race it felt like a race. Will be better prepared next time.
