Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Doctor K On the massive assumption that I'll be running well at this time and that the race is user-friendly I'll put myself down for one of my fastest performances. I'll not be too cocky and say I'll threaten a PB of under 52:12 but that is the target this year.
Oh sod it -let's be positive and aim for that Pb 52:11

Well -finished around 52:35 -haven't got the official time yet. Ran very steadily and worked hard all the way -bit of a struggle last 2K but held on -if it was as flat as Trafford I'd have a new PB . Over a minute faster than Birchwood so not too diappointed with it. Brilliant race though, nice part of the world and well organised

jolguk It was a really well organised race, but I found it much more undulating than expected, so found myself really struggling in trying to get a PB. I chucked up a lot in the final k, and still managed to finish a minute outside my PB. BAD. Still, I'd consider doing it again for the atmosphere. I just won't expect a good time.

julbags First 10K. In fact first ever race, so was pleased to find it as well organised as people had said(found myself at the start at the correct time - bonus)and loads of marshalls who did a geat job. A bit nervous to begin with as no idea what to expect so started near the back, possibly a little too far back as spent entire race overtaking people. Great weather and race conditions (so much for forecast gale force winds) and a good route. Really well marked, though did manage to completely miss the 4 mile marker but it was defiinitely there as I saw it on the drive home (about a foot high with flourescent yellow background!) Chuffed at getting well within the hour. Will be doing this again next year. Edited with an actual race time of 52:11

Marcus One of my very favourite races. Unexpectedly good weather this year - it's a fast and flat course so really I was hoping for a better time than this but with only one sub-4 minute kilometre I just didn't put enough work in and dissapointingly finished with plenty left in the tank.

Never mind, still a top day out on the Fylde once again - back to try again at Garstang in January.
