Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yog-Sothoth After a stewards enquiry, it was decided that my time had been confused with the runner in front of me, so I didn't break 1:30 after all...ah well! The course was tough and lumpy, so i'm well chuffed with my time. Excellent marshalling throughout, a nice long sleeved T-Shirt and a bottle of Ale from the race sponsors, Skinners Brewery were plus points for this increasingly popular race. My lot managed third in the mens team prize to boot! Local hero Dan Simons won the race in an incredible 1:10:58!

paskha 41st Half ... AFTER: Yey I did it!!! It was pretty difficult maintaining the pace, so I stopped looking at my watch at half way which was spot on 60 mins and concentrated on my running style and just getting over the hills, hoping I had enough left for the last 3 miles (the mile splits show where the main hills are - miles 5 & 10 - as I did keep an even pace going: 9:18, 8:52, 9:30, 8:36, 10:30, 8:42, 8:57, 8:24, 9:09, 10:32, 8:39, 8:32, 8:28, 0:53) ... despite there being nearly 700 entrants we were under 20 secs crossing the Start line, shame of it is there is not a lot of chatting going on at this pace!!! The weather was perfect, warm at first, but rain started half way round, cool!! This is only the SECOND time I've got under 2 hrs in CORNWALL, the other 4 Halfs under 2 hrs on easier courses outside Cornwall are Burnham Beeches (1998), Great North Run (1999) Seaton (2004) & Stroud (2005) so it was a historic day for me AND I beat Linda for the first time (apart from Duchy M) so got a FIRST FV55 Trophy and it's BIG!! // BEFORE: Cornish GP race No.12 - Yeah, COME ON - give yourself something to AIM for!!!
This race is the one I've done the most times - THIS WILL BE MY 9th consecutive. The old course (1998, 1999) was easier, but all on main roads. This is still my actual PB (1998, 1:55:07) but as it is now 8 yrs ago, I prefer to count STROUD (Oct 2005, 1:55:14) The new course started in 2000 is on
