Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Lowbo Entered this one back before i got an achilles injury - the ever-optimist in me thought id do a 1hr 15m for my debut! Well pleased with the time i got, the course helped as did the dewsbury lad and the lady from leeds who pulled me round. Fast flat course but tough on the straights.

Cavey No idea what to expect. Doing this off the cuff so who knows!! UPDATE: Good to meet Rosielad, a top top bloke who I had a good laugh with before the start. Gutted for him that he didn't finish today, but it was a tough run. Its a really flat course which does make it quite fast, but it can get monotonous, and tough psychologically, particularly because there were a lot of long stretches. I set off way too fast doing 8:15's for the first 4 miles, then was chatting with a lovely lady called Amanda from RW. I slowed down to about 8:30's for the few miles I ran with her. Was looking good for a PB by about 8 miles. But hit the wall hard at 10 and was running through treacle for the last 3!! All in all quite pleased with the run, and to go sub 2 for the first time since March!
