Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Gus Not feeling 100% but decided to run anyway. Was dead last until just before the bottom of the big hill, and managed to overtake a couple of folk so I think I was 5th from last. Not sure of time cos I forgot to switch off my Garmin at the end, probably because I was so knackered or because I'd won a spot prize!

Sunbed Athlete Was using this race as a get fit race but ended up leading the way from start to finish.Won by just 15 secs from Richard Turkington from Armagh AC who beat me here 2 years ago but had to keep it going the entire way.NO room for easing off.Def not fully fit enough to control tempo of race but ended up being that way.Thighs/ankle fine but stomach pains were very sore.Hitting the Gallow Hill @ 5k made me work hard to get up,keep the gap open & keep going right over the top of the hill.By that time a small gap had opened but could still hear his race number rustle in the breeze.Felt him coming back to me around 8k as I was nearly finished by that time.Legs/mind gone but held on to win.£75 plus 2 trophies.Mrs Sunbed happy with the cash.Probally the slowest winning time for the race in its history but a win is a win.
