Lizzie W Pos 545 of 609. Nice race, flat course, lovely weather. Happy I ran really steady pace (despite slow and hip pain) apart from 3-4mins walk in the middle. Have to get hurty hip fixed :o(

Making_Tracks I'd like to do this in 40 mins. Race number has arrived 485, I'm running in a Fetch Red & Yellow Teeshirt. 45:15 - 8k is an odd distance to run, you push yourself for a 5k pace and realise you are going to fast for 8k. I'm happy with my 9:05 pace at this stage of my training. Great to see Max, Booboo, OceanSpirit, K8, and B.

Max71 First 5 mile race, however this is listed as an 8k so it will not show up for my PB. The plan is for sub 50 minutes, but it is also 2 weeks after Berlin Marathon so we shall see. ***UPDATE*** OK, so the course I know very very well, it's a fast course and definitely perfect PB material. However I did not enjoy the race, I dont know if it was the heat or the fact that I went in with a Blase attitude of 'well it's only 8k, how hard can it be?' The answer is, hard!

oceanspirit It was really warm out there today and with little breeze to take that hot feeling away. But I still did better than my predicted time so I'm happy.
