About this parkrun

Friendly but oh my goodness that hill!
RuthB2 3rd Jan 2019

The Hill is a killer but it has a nice downhill also.

OMG HILLS! One of the toughest parkruns there is, but worth it. Pay for parking, climb a hill to get to the start, then a massive climb on gravel/chalk trails to an undulating descent to the finish and then do it all again. Cafe does great breakfast

Forget about pb's, this is not the course to get one. Big hill at the start then lovely run around QE park. Just to make things interesting you run the big hill again. Downhills nice but can be really muddy in the winter, trail shoes a must.

2 laps, trail/gravel, A hill. A BIG hill. Challenging. Not PB material. But oh-so-pretty. Embrace your inner VFM runner, and take a moment to savour the view from the top! Very friendly, nice cafe. Recommended.

Small hill, small downhill, undulating, BIG uphill, BIG downhill (fastest 1 mile and 1k of the year so far, undulating to finish, very tough as parkruns go, worth it though, enjoyed it.

Get all the snappy dogs to line up at the back please.

VERY challenging course but a picturesque location

Just off A3 in Queen Elizabeth Country Park, within South Downs National Park. £2ish to park. Cafe and toilets in park. Pay at machine when leaving. Tough course, starting part way up a hill then repeating full hill on 2nd lap. Fast downhill section
Gravic 16th Jun 2019

Short Lap. Long Lap. PRetty sharp hill, even longer hill second lap. Nice long downhill to match, but pretty steep and grassy so can be slippy. Car park cost me £2.20 (Aug 19). Second the comment about the yappy dogs.

Lovely park, and a great XC course. Uphill start but net downhill. The hill in the middle is quite challenging and the downhills were slippery when I ran so trail shoes needed in the winter.

Blimey, that's hilly! You start on a hill, there are some nice downhills but the day we did it, it was v cold and the gravel/mud was solid so took it really easy. Parking easy, cafe good. Friendly little event full of tourists aiming to get that Q.
Sombrero 10th Dec 2022

Start half way up big hill. 200m till first drop. First 3ks tough going but once at top of second hill let loose and enjoy.

A lovely trail course both with a "good" hill that you start half way up and then do a complete run up it. Was frosty today so firm underfoot but not slippy. Toilets, parking and a nice cafe.

Very enjoyable parkrun, lovely team and fab to run through the forest. Surprised how much of it was on a chalky path (with some mud) although there is a downhill section on grass/mud which would be slippy if you don't have trail shoes. Do it!!
