Jigs Ran as a LSR training run, but a lot slower! Mostly off-road following instructions for directions, with sporadic route markers. Not entirely successful as a few wrong turns/missed turns were taken, so mileage was slightly over distance. Pleased to finish in first group of 3 (all with same time, no seconds recorded). There were faster runners but they took an extra 3+ miles detour and came in much later! My Gorgeous wife finished 1st Lady :):):) Nice to be out in the countryside again, but legs are tingling a lot from nettle rash! The finish supplied lovely homemade apple pie & custard included in race entry :P

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) Decided to do this as a LSR, good route with a mixture of road, trail and fields, it was quite hard work but good fun, I teamed up with a couple of runners as I am not good at reading routes and was afraid of getting lost, some front runners went wrong and ended up doing 3 extra miles! I only had a couple of mistakes, the first one fairly early in the run when I think all the front runners made the same mistake, and at the end of the race where I should have taken a turn along a path but hadn't read that so followed the road round to the start, when I got closer I thought I had gone wrong and that the finish was at the car park so I ran down to the car park and no-one was there, got the route out and realised I was right first time so I wasted a few minutes, still I was pleased that I was the first lady back, and chuffed that my Wonderful Husband finished joint 1st along with 2 other runners!! Good to see Canary Yellow and Hellen at the start! :)

hellen 45 mins longer than last year, went wrong twice, did an extra 2 miles and had to map read myself which all added to the time. nice cakes on the course and not too hilly.

CanaryYellow Some stunning scenery, directions were ok once i got the hang of them even tho i did tack on a mile and also lost an entire line of directions but sweating all over them and folding the paper. For future reference take a plastic wallet to hold them in.
