About this parkrun

Winter course - out and back on the perimeter track at the race course. Summer course - loops around the lake, then all around the race track on the permeter. Long drag up, but not steep. Plenty of parking, fast course.

Great team , very friendly & welcoming to all abilities . an anti clockwise lap of the lake followed by a lap of the inside track of the racecourse & a final clockwise lap of the lake to the finish

Rightly very popular, so start round the lake can be congested. The 2nd k is rough underfoot, but then smooths out to a quick slightly downhill 3rd k. 4th k uphill, but not excessively so, with the last half k a flat finish round the lake.

Anti clockwise lap of the boating lake, one long lap of the service track which is uneven in sections and has a couple of minor climbs, and then a clockwise lap of the boating lake to finish

Gorgeous run. Bit of a bunched start but then plenty of room. Quite a fast one. Very friendly. Loads of parking. Cafe after is brilliant, Huggamug or something!

Due to the cold and ice we were on the alternative course which was a there and back along I presume the service road for the racecourse. Slight incline here and there and more upward incline on the way back. Nice friendly volunteers 😊
