-caz- Was only 4 seconds off my 10k PB doing this race in 2006, unfortunately miles off PB fitness, will be chuffed just to finish. Great course and well organised.

UPDATE - Thought I'd blew it at the beginning, went off way too quick but I'm over the fcukin moon, under 50mins for the first time in 2yrs. Garmin only showed 9.71k though.

bedlam_g Went really well today my early pace was faster than I'd planned but I felt really comfortable and kept pushing. Crossed the line with my Garmin showing an average pace of 5.52, so even if the course was a bit short (9.74k) my PB would have been blown out the water anyway, and about time too. Won 3rd team prize with thanks to brilliant runs from BryanB and Edmondo. Pos 20/622

Edmondo I've resigned myself to accepting the race was short and no pb. I clocked it at 9.7k along with several others I spoke to after. A real bummer as I ran a blinder and would have had a whopping pb in any event. It was billed as official 10k despite a change in route - what happened there then?

gilly b I would have like a pb but was 6 seconds off target, I was pleaseed enough with run i.e. until I discovered the distance was short, I now think that I should have done better!!

IainMcK Get the excuses in early again.
1.	Hadn’t managed to get much training in.
2.	Had a late one the nigh before
3.	Ate breakie to close to start.
4.	Lost running partner on Friday (the temptations of Tenerife were surprisingly more enticing than a Sunday morning run around Feggie Park)
5.	Walked too much the day before race (to David Lloyd and back and a couple of circuits of the town centre)
However on the plus side the conditions were perfect (fairly cool, dry and no wind) and the route change to avoid most of Ferguslie Park avenue made the distance seem shorter.
Felt OK (slightly heavy legged) for the first 5K and kept a steady 5min 1K pace, managed to up the pace slight from 5 to 8 then really push on for the final 2K to knock over a minute of my PB for the second year running.

Ian Never gone beyond 44 minutes in a 10k and quite honestly should have done.

Update: PB by quite some margin. Short course? I couldn't give a monkeys. Very good race all round, nice course, well organised, good atmosphere.

The Belly Is Gaun Tae Get Ye Will update time later. Garmin showed up at 9.58K. It kept switching on anf off under all the bridges.

Set off at goal pace, but by 3K had fallen back to 4.26 and slower. Legs felt heavy and breathing laboured.

Watch time 42.18 bu will have to wait on officail times, but will probably get a seasons best. Just.

Course a bit short methinks, however you have to take the smooth with the rough.

toepointer Sounds like the race was short, which means I am not very fit as nearly got under 44 mins. PB is 42 so thats poor. Was my first proper 10k for nearly 2 years though. I really liked this race; I don't care about the scenery, but it was a fast slightly undulating course with clear km markers in good conditions, with a nice downhill finish. So many races are long anyway! My first 3k were pretty slow so it seems unusual that I then did the next 7k 15s per km faster when I usually slow down. Forgot how much I enjoy racing! Met another Fetchie, Alan F I think, recogniseable due to his Fetch vest.
