Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

AddledAdder Hoping to enter on the night, now I've got a babysitter! Would be pleased to match last year's time as I've not raced yet this year...
First ever DNF. Pulled calf at 7 miles had to start walking at 8 and got really cold and shivery / faint in the rain. Caught a lift back to the - could hardly walk and needed half an hour of sweet tea and under a pile of coats to feel vaguely human again. Bit of a shock to the system, and still haven't quite worked out what went wrong. Maybe a little too fast at the start, and maybe not enough food / drink during the two hours before hand. Has set the marathon training back big time....

Northern Exile Didn't do as well as I'd hoped in this race, partly because I was knackered at the start, but also because of that bloody big hill! Anyhow, enjoyed it all the same .... must have not tried hard enough at the start 'cos I had stacks of energy left at the end and had a great tussle with a couple of other runners - and won!

Phil-F Chose a tough first 10 miler. Had no ida what to expect, although I had been warned there would be hills. Despite the sore knees the following morning I thoroughly enjoyed the run and will run again next year.

trazza slightly disappointed that legs wouldn't do better for me - they just stiffened up from word go really. Enjoyed it though and will be back next year.

Yorkshire Pie As I thought, it's a PB but nowhere near what I can run 10 miles in. I had a shocking race with stomach problems, and it was maybe a bit soon after Edinburgh, but still, there's room for improvement next time round.
