Oscar the Grouch I'm hanging my head in shame. Sorry to those that bet on me, but a PB was NOT forthcoming. I'm never EVER going to predict one again (although my half marathon time is slow :-) ). Mitigating factors... this 10 mile race was universally acknowledged to be 10.8. It was very wet underfoot and treacherous. It was very windy and we were on the coast. Actual result 133rd/313 in 1h36m36. Sorry to those that kept the faith. Sh1t ar5e and b0ll0cks :-(

Torbay This was nearer 11 miles than 10. The course was changed slightly because of the blustery weather. More road running this year and a longer course. The wind at the start nearly took you off your feet but once in the muddy lanes we were quite sheltered. I concentrated on not slipping as i can't risk another hip injury. I was trying to beat Smoke free green on age grading but failed miserably. He is turning out to be one fast guy.
