Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

dvc soooo hot. and hilly. really well organised and very enjoyable.

Starting to believe my own hype set off at a crazy pace (once i'd got through the masses runners at the start. Realised my mistake around2 miles and nearly gave up half way through (shame on me!) but plodded on until the end.

2nd in my age group in london (31-40) surely can't have been that many old duffers running it then?!

SUPERWOMAN63 I got a flyer for this race at the excel centre whilst collecting my race number for the London Marathon it sounded exciting !! l entered this race before l had done ran the marathon and was convinced l would find 10km a walk in the park. Gulp on the day the weather was HOT ( surprise, surprise ) and Greenwich Park is very HILLY. Yes l admit l did struggle and my mantra was C'MON GIRL GET A GRIP , YOU'VE DONE A MARATHON however my energy levels were LOW , my mental strength ( which l had in abundance for 26.2 miles ) was disappearing rapidly but through gritted teeth l did manage to finish and got another lovely medal for my efforts.
