About this parkrun

3 fairly flat laps on grass around playing fields. Not the most interesting parkrun.

Great little event.
Dickie York 18th Sep 2021

All on grass, nearly 3 laps around playing fields. Very flat. Smaller than the other York parkruns, very friendly! Lots of places to lock a bike. Dry when I ran (in summer) but probably could get fairly muddy.
PitterPatter 14th Oct 2021

2.75 laps of sports fields, narrow section between the two fields. Second field can be very bobbly and uneven. In summer the grass on the second field can get quite long, and the ground can be very firm.

A small event especially compared to its closest neighbour, York. All on grass which can get quite boggy at times so will change over the course of the year tremendously. The most welcoming team I have encountered.

All on grass. 2 1/2 laps. Muddy today but a friendly one with parking and toilets.
BlueArmy 24th Dec 2022

All on grass. In summer I found lack of shade difficult and also firmness of ground. In winter I nearly disappeared in a puddle. Quite often has to cancel due to waterlogged pitch.

Free car park at start along with cafe and toilets. 2.7 laps fully on grass around 2 flat fields. Not too muddy when I ran. Small field and friendly volunteers.
