Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Edmondo A windy old day in the wee toon made it a tough slog this year. Lulled into a false comfort zone with the wind behind, the first 5 miles were great. Then came the beach turn and a wall of wind and sand in your face. 6.25 splits suddenly turned into a 7.50!!! Last 2 miles right into the wind again. Finished 4th man for 2nd year running. Great event and fantastic goody bag including an embroidered adidas tech shirt - nice one!

ClaireT Tough going into the strong headwinds, but at least is stayed dry and the sun shone! I love this course, the section on the beach and sand-dunes is hard work but fab, especially if you can take a moment to look around at the view. Nice touch with piper at the turning point and locals coming out of their cottages in the middle of nowhere, to cheer you on. Had to work hard all the way but sneaked into first in the finishing straight, 3 min faster than last year but by no means a PB. Well done to dd for knocking 2 mintues off last weeks 10K time!

iceblue Sorry to all who bet on me, but the strong winds over the last 7 miles made a PB impossible. Was going well until I came off the beach part to face a headwind and the legs couldn't get going again after that. Knew a PB wasn't on after 7 miles and then it was just a matter of trying to keep going, albeit slowly!
