Beijing Blade The course was very flat and was all road. So it was set up for a good time.

I felt pretty good throughout, with the exception of the last mile which was quite hard. I took it easy for the first mile, though I still did in about 6 minutes 10 seconds. Second and third miles in a little under 6 min 30 eachh. A little over 19 minutes at the half way mark. Averaged c. 6 min 50 miles for the second half.

Boycie One of my oldest PBs and the only distance I have not PBd in 2007 - you can bet your house on me PBing here, barring injury or illness... UPDATE: Amazing race - thought I started off too hard with Mile 1 in 5:45, but when mile 2 came up also in 5:45, I thought I could be on for something special... Made mile 3 with a 5:54 and then a 5:49 mile 4. Tired a little as a few slight undulations in the final 2 miles with a 6:03 and a 6:01, but sprint finish saw me home in 36:28 - a pb by over 2 minutes. Finished 30th overall out of 650ish and beat some peeps I am never normally near! Apparently that was worth 430 betting points!!!

Greenman Would have liked to have ducked under 38 mins but considering I haven't trained much over Christmas I ought to be pleased.

rollerman I am in, not sure yet about a pb, too early to tell.

Well what can i say 750 credits bet on me?. Set myself a target of running at 7m30s m/m and did it.
Still feel a bit down as I always think I could have done more! allthough in this case I did strugle from 5.5 miles, but still managed a sprint to keep under the 47 minute mark.

Any comments?

runForestfanrun Perfect course & conditions for a PB. Sorry to anyone who bet on me, I had to ruin it by turning up late and starting right at the back. Still, the Evening Post photographer took my picture so it's not all bad.

SPKoF OMG OMG! All 3 of the 2007 targets have fallen! Sub 20 5k, sub 3:30 full and finally, at the last chance a sub 40 10k. OH yeah baby!

Thanks so much to the 2 non-club runners who dragged me along from mile 4. Mike and Steve - you are legends amongst men.

If you were ballsy and did bet on me well done!
