brotherjohn Tough run for a flat course! Mostly off road and very windy going out, but felt pretty good for most of the run. Last mile should have been a bit faster with the wind behind, but consistent anyway, 5:52, 5:50, 5:52 and and 37 seconds for the last bit. 18:11 and 12th place.

CStar Flat, straight, sandy and thought it would be v boring. However managed to go our in a reasonable time and keep going thanks to some pressure from others around me. PB'd which is nice, but still a long way to go on the fitness.

DrBob Aim to run away from Timmy this time :-) preferably early on so he doesnt talk to me about how unfit he is. Didn't feel like this at all today, but I'd ducked out of too many races lately. Concentrated on feeling smooth today and felt quite comfortable. Would be nice to break 18 mins for 5k having run sub 36 10k 3 times this year!

EarlyRiser optimistically blasting off for a PB here, if we get rain though, course will be muddy with lots of puddles! POST-RACE. Rain held off, breezy conditions, tougher than I thought would be. Happy enough with time. There's always another day. :-)

Glen Bulb Legs felt heavy. Felt like hard work and disapointing lack of mud compared with last year!

KinkyS Anticipating a very slow time on dodgy legs after the Lakeland 50. RESULT - went far better than I expected, and had much more fun on the race course in my trail shoes than when I attempted this in lightweight roadies last year. Happy with that considering the last 3 weekends' madness :-)
