beders very pleased with 40 seconds off last years time after feeling very sluggish indeed during the last few weeks training. As usual well marshalled and a nice route, first couple of miles nice and flat along canal and then up on the trails for the middle part of the race and a nice downhill finish for the last mile. Had a very enjoyable (??) 400+metre sprint finish and managed to overtake7-8 people who I'd been hanging onto for the last mile and even got a spot prize cos of the sprint !! Definitely one of my favourite races.
