About this parkrun

Traditional park, 2 large laps and 1 small one. All on tarmac. Very friendly and large. Over 600 regularly. Deaf signing at all briefings! Course PB under 15 minutes. Nice cafe open right by the finish. Toilets.
Minnie Mad 22nd Dec 2018

Mostly tarmac (with a bit of gravel); 2 and a bit laps; somewhere between undulating and hilly. Almost too popular for its own good - up to 700 runners in summer and a traffic jam for the first half-km. Nice cafe 10 yards from the finish line.
Dooogs 22nd Dec 2018

One small loop, two larger loops. Tarmac and gravel. Good on road parking. 55m elevation gain. Small hills. Great winding course under and over other parts of the course round a park. Toilets and cafe by the start/finish.

1st parkrun I did. Greenhead Park is far more welcoming than it was in the 70s and 80s and the course benefits from good maintenance, cafe and a miniature railway! Bumpy enough to make it interesting. Friendly and well run.

A large turnout in a lovely park. Free on street parking. A very well designed course which goes under and over other runners - deserves the Mario Kart description!
BlueArmy 14th Jan 2023

Large busy parkrun but volunteers are expert at handling the large numbers. Parking on streets around park. Cafe and toilets in park right near finish line. Small then 2 large loops of park on mix of tarmac and gravel paths, undulating.
