About this parkrun
Three 1 mile laps of the Stray , half on grass , half on tarmac paths , pretty flat , PB potential when dry , trail shoes when wetwAckie Racer 24th Mar 2019
First Parkrun in my area so it will always have a place in my heart, but it is a little bit dull (three times round The Stray). Luckily great atmosphere and lots of friendly runners make up for it and course is fine for buggies and dogs.

Mostly grass with some tarmac. Grass sections can be muddy in winter and tarmac can get icy due to shading from houses. Good PB potential as pretty flat and the tarmac section is towards the end of the lap so you can build speed towards the finish.

Three flat laps on grass/tarmac, some sections very muddy in winter. Finish changes slightly every week to preserve grass but they measure with a wheel for distance

3 laps around the Stray. Flat. Is part on grass and part on tarmac so will be muddy when wet.
