Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Dochart Gloucester AC's race instructions for this one were rather fierce - you must keep to the left, you must not listen to ipods or wee on the village green (fair enough) etc. Race HQ was the village community centre in Frampton, a couple of miles off J13 of the M5. Rudimentary changing (but no showers), baggage check and plenty of rather drafty portaloos. The route, on quiet roads, conisists of a 3-4 mile there and back for the start and finish following the river Severn, then two circuits of 6m loop through farmland to the south of Gloucester. The course was well marshalled with 5 water stations. The weather forecast was pretty grim, but on the day there was only light rain although the wind was strong. I intended to go round in around 9mm but predictably set off too fast (of course, this was in order to get warm and not because i got caught up in the race, oh no, no!). I felt pretty good throughout with none of the aches and pains that usually surface during an LSR. 324/511
