Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

fetcheveryone Very pleased to get a modest PB on the bumpy forest floor. Picked up a stitch between 2 and 3 (first time ever during a race), but managed to get rid of it, then caught Em, who was suffering bad with one too. Kept pushing to about 4 miles, then got into a run-off to the line with another runner, and pleased to say I held them off. Remembered to get my trackies back on quickly at the end, so hopefully no bites tomorrow. Bring it on Yateley II!

fraggle Only decided to do this race this afternoon, and was expecting a poor time. Got stitch at the end of mile 1, and that carried on intermitantly throughout the race. Got to the 3 mile marker and (for the first time) ran up *that* hill :o) Missed mile 4 marker, and thought I'd blown it big time, then realised about 3 mins form the end that all was well.
Finished in 48.01, a PB by 1min32s ;o)

garfieldhouse Predicting a slower time than my usual flat time as I need to do more hill training! Should be good practice for those hills though!
Update- pleased with the result as I was faster than I predicted. Not as fast as in my flat races due to terrain, (forest floor) and hills, but happy to cope well on the hills and could keep the pace going when climbing. Want to try and improve on my runs on rough terrain, so will go back to Bracknell one evening to run in the forests again- recommended for anyone as it was a lovely course!
