racheybabes Considering doing this one as training for edinburgh instead of the 10k on the sunday. Watch this space.........**UPDATE** Wow! I really enjoyed today and didn't find the heat too bad either. For the first half I ran with a group of people who were going a bit slower than i wanted (about 8.45 min/mile) and then for the last half i ran with david from lasswade ac and we managed to keep each other going. I felt very strong at the finish. This was a well organised race and all of the marshalls were very cheerful and encouraging. Thanks to everybody and it's time for a glass of wine in the garden now!!

jp105 I fancied doing this race although I had not trained at a distance beyond half marathon distance. Enjoyed the early stages up until 19 miles where my legs stopped working- had to walk. Ended up in 9th position which is great taking into consideration the lack of training. At least now I know what the burn is like in a full marathon!!
