jp105 My first race ever, really pleased with the outcome although this race got a lot of stick on organisation.

Doonhamer Steady run around a quite windy Granton this morning. The course itself was reasonably flat but the number of dead turns and the strong winds didnt make for a fast course ( although it didnt seem to slow down the african runners)Agree with Baza re the finish being a bit crowded for runners around the 2 hour mark, they could have done with extending the funnel down the road a bit further before turning everyone back to collect the medal, bag , etc.

shannon late start and a barrier tried to cross the route after 200m! Otherwise, OK staged race - better than previous Edin races I've done and it was their first go at it - on flat terrain. I took it fairly steady and then tried to pick it up for the last 3miles. Reasonably pleased with time all things considered. Nice to see the top runners going the other way up near silverknowes, impressive stuff!

Baza Dissapointed not to have broke 90minutes this week. Felt fine till 8 mile then started to flag. Waterstops were under staffed and better signage required for them. Apparantly the barrier at 200 metres took the clock of the lead car....lol. Finish was a farce at one point. Runners coming in at about 2hrs could barely get over the line due to a back log in the funnels. Never mind though, they'll learn for next year

Big Al Widepants Shambles of a race with a delayed start and then a safety barrier nearly decapitating runners round the first bend. Post industrial wasteland early on but developed into nice view of the sea around Cramond. My parents came to cheer as did my wife and kids. Rich J ran the race in about 1:50:00 on no training.

santababy crikey, what shambles at start and finish, couldnt get ovr the bloody finish line as the backlog of runners was immense! no chips no no idea what my *official* timewas, i crossed line 2 mins after it started, and *finished* at 2.06, then stood stock still as couldnt move to stretch cool down etc as we were in queue, they had cheek to take my numbr about 15/20 mins later!1 is this for the officail tomes? lol donuts, apparently water ran out for slower runers too, on a postive note, the run was nice, great support and weather was fab, too hot actually, i'm clearly waaay used to baltic weather!!

josieT Disastrous organisation - crowded and slow to start, and no time at finish. Had to queue to cross finish line! First one though so they got off with it!
