jamesy1981 A lower key Half Marathon than some of them in the area, but still with a field of well over 1,000. The people of Eastbourne are absolutely lovely and whilst I have scored the support as 4/5 that's based on how many people come out to support compared to some other races. The people who do come out support EVERYONE and with lots of enthusiasm worthy of 5/5. The course is fairly difficult, if you haven't heard about the hill then just ask someone who has done it. As long as you pace yourself and know what to expect you can run up it easily enough and then you get it all back on the downhill. The hardest part of 2014 was actually the last few KM with a constant wind in your face that it was very hard to run against with tired legs. I'd recommend this event because it's well organised and a nice bit of variety for a runner. It's just not a walk in the park!
