Russell M First time doing the Burdens and indeed first hill race! Entered as part of a team from HarperCollins. Paired with David, a far faster runner than myself but at least it wasn't Jethro. The hill at the start nearly killed, wasn't expecting that level of incline so near the start - would've paid to have done some recce work beforehand. The flats were okay and made up some good places, the downhills were phenomenal, such a buzz just going for it, trying not to hold back and managing to make plenty of places. Great first race, definitely be back for this next year! :)
