Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

MarkC Time to nail my oldest PB! RESULT: BY my watch, a PB by 3 and a half minutes! Very pleased that I was solid and disciplined right through the race, breaking it down into 5 2-mile sections and aiming to do each one in less than 15 minutes. Almost ideal conditions (cool and no wind) thought it was getting warmer towards the end. The long descents made for good cruising and more than made up for the regular short sharp climbs. Very pleased with myself and off to claim my reward: a roast pork dinner and a bottle of Marston's Pedigree. Great day for Alchester Running Club too, with lots of fellow members out, many doing great times. Thanks for the encouragement all of you who had a flutter on me!

SparkyMark Depends on weather, but need to clear the memory of last year's horror. Similar course to Leafield 10. Ceatainly not a chance of a PB. I may run another lap as I'm marathon training :-) UPDATE No extra lap, will save my 20 miles for next weekend. Perfect conditions, but felt a bit sluggish in the first part of the race, though ironically splits don't reflect that. Good second half and felt strong on hilly course. All bodes well for LN. Some great performances from fellow club members and prizes reflect some great efforts
