trevm I don't find the hills too bad at Congleton as the large hill is in the first couple of miles and the sting in the tail hill is steep, but not too long.

jolguk (Approximate time, I forgot to stop my watch). I generally quite enjoyed it. It was a very well-organised race, and very pretty, although the weather was a bit warm for me. But the hills always do for me, and I was so paranoid about the 'sting' at the end that I was scared to go faster, although I knew I could, and in the end the hill, although very steep, was pretty short. I had plenty - too much - in reserve for my sprint finish.

Siggers Should achieve a p.b. on this course, managed a massive one last year at this event, I think I am fitter, and have achieved other p.b.'s this year, I've put my prediction down as 1h 48m, I will be secretly hoping to achieve sub 1:45. Wish me luck. Well, I achieved a new p.b., not quite what I was secretly hoping for, or what my early splits suggested, but it gives me something to beat in the Stafford Half in March.

Skittering Monstrosity My target is to run all the way, and cross the finishing line before it closes! I did it! Really enjoyed the whole experience. It was exhilarating to run with so many people, and to be surrounded by enthusiastic runners. I was very nervous and nearly passed out around mile 11, but apart from that it was a fantastic experience. I was really pleased with my time as I've never raced before and only took up running in March. However, I am already thinking how to better it next time.
