cehstone I put a fair amount of intensity into this race, I could still see KA and I didn't let anyone get away from me, I overtook everybody who had overtaken me by the end of the race. I was breathing heavily throughout the race. I didn't notice any slack moments, yet I was running 4-8 seconds per half mile slower than the previous week. The only good bit is that the last sprint was done faster than before I think. Maybe the half marathon distance yesterday was too much?

About this parkrun

Hard packed trail plus a bit of road, can get very muddy - 1 small and then 1 big lap - minor undulations - course goes round a large lake. Always starts 5-10 minutes late. Daleside cafe is a fair way from the finish but well worth the trip

Park at Adventure Centre- NG42EW £1.50. Run is on firm trails 1 x lap of large lake and 2 x laps of small lakes. Beautiful lakeside runs. Catch Daleside Cafe afterwards.

2 laps of 1 lake and 1 of another. Nice venue. Free parkrun. Mix of tarmac and grass etc. could be fast if not injured like I was

A good flat parkrun. Surface is now almost entirely tarmac. I was told it used to be muddy. Popular with locals.
