ClaireT Didn't know what to expect after doing the half on Sunday, but came away with a PB by 23s, passing the 5K mark in 18.47 which would have been a 5K PB by 8s. Cannae complain. It was very warm though, suffered a bit from dehydration after choosing not to take water at the first station. Well done to Scobos for a fab run and Edmondo for a cracking PB, and thanks to everyone who supported along the way!

Edmondo Some really good times run - well done all! A pb by some distance for me but really paid for it as I collapsed at the finish. A warm night and I must have pushed myself too hard and overheated, causing me to pass out - giving people a fair scare as well. Thank god for the huge number of clubmates on hand to look after me and see me home safe - you were fantastic! I certainly don't do hot and think I need to accept that pbs are not everything...

Gokeith Knew i was in good shape in the run up to this race.Felt crap in the warm up which normally means i run quite well in the race.
Ran in a group of 5 to halfway then put in a few efforts to try and pull away, ended up in 9th position, 2nd M40 and a new pb so a decent night's work ;-)

Scobos Felt good from the start, much better than expected. Ran comfortably in a large group for the first 2 or 3k, then they all gradually fell away over the next couple of kms. On my own from 6k to the finish, so it was just a case of getting the head down. Delighted with my second quickest 10k ever, only 13secs outside my PB of a couple of years ago. I don't normally do heat.....

Ticketyboo Oh that was hot, sweated buckets and managed to maintain a fairly steady pace throughout passing Guiseppe around half way. Surprised to still have a strong sprint finish in my legs. Congrats to Fannybawz on another PB. (Finishing position 40 out of 591).

Vic Mason 2nd of the Polariod 10k's & looking to improve on my new PB of 37.53 from Helensburgh. With a bit more effort I should hopefully dip under, I'll let the Fetchies decide as can't promise anything. ***UPDATE*** WooHoo.........another PB on a very hot night. Ran with Hamshank for the 1st 4k & struggled a bit just before the 5k marker where Hamshank went slightly ahead. Managed to pull back to overtake & had to dig deep to sustain the pace for the final 5k. Saw Guiseppe @ about 8k & managed to pull him in a little for him to finish 10 seconds ahead. Pleased with my sprint finish & over the moon with new PB. Thanks to all Fetchies who thought I could PB again so soon - your credits are in the bank. 49th position out of 591
