About this parkrun

Single lap around a canal reservoir that dates back to 1797; scenic, flat, friendly, nice coffee shop/toilets, ample parking (£1 for 2 hours). en.wikipedia.org
Sigh 6th Jul 2019

Fell over just after the first mile - lots of blood blisters some of big ones burst, hence splits of 8:19, 10:04 and 8:51 lap times - such a shame I was running well and just caught my foot on a stone jutting out of the track.

Did it with a Hangover before Thunder Run nice setting you get a bit of EVERYTHING trail, road, grass, lake, along a busy road, through a car park (watch out for cars). Has a nice little café at the end does slush great for hangovers.
Hills of Death (HOD) 25th Jul 2019

Really nice course, one lap on rough trails with some tarmac sections. Some inclines to add some interest. Worth a visit.
Mr J 28th Jul 2019

flat course with mixed terrains. Some pinch points and a bit of road. Nice location and cheap parking.

One lap of Chasewater taking in a road section round the back to avoid the muddier inside section. Mix of trail and tarmac with a few trip hazards but road shoes are fine unless the weather has been bad. A few small inclines but nothing bad.

Lovely waterside one lap trail parkrun. Good under foot so road shoes fine. Parking is £1 for 2 hours. Great cafe near finish.

Sometimes a problem with parking machines or toilets not being opened promptly at eight o'clock. More of an issue for volunteers. Watch out for cars along the road section near to the rugby club. Otherwise it's a great course.
29th Sep 2019

One lap course, clockwise around Chasewater itself, starts and finishes close to the car park (£1 for 2 hours)/visitor centre/toilets. Mixed terrain, but road shoes should be fine. Miniature railway runs alongside for part of the way.
Chingwakabungya 16th Dec 2019

Single lap, lots of flat with a couple of minor uphills.

fabulous parkrun but I may be biased

A lovely one lapper with a bit of everything. All on good paths. Toilets available before, car parking £1.20 for 2 hrs (cash only). We also saw trains, deer and cows!
