Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Boab This was my first hill run, and it feckin hurt!!!! I was done in after about 300 meters. Start was through boggy ground covered in reeds, it was almost like the hurdles, then there was the first ascent. It was hands on knees job for most of the climbs for me, my legs were knackered...lungs were ok throughout, didn't put them under too much pressure at all, but I have absolutely no strength left in my legs!!! Made a lot of places on the descents, but lost them again on the ascents, by the time we got the the Howe my thighs were wasted and when we started the last ascent to Carnethy I thought my calfs were going to explode! This is tough running, anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about. I find XC difficult, this was just pure evil!!!!
Give me a flat road race anyday of the week, but will I do a hill race again.........right now NO, ask me tomorrow!

cake muncher Finished in 59th place. Good conditions for a fast run but I wasn't firing on all cylinders today. 39 seconds and 10 places down on last year.

Tasis Lass this was a good race for me beat my previous time of 1:57:04 so well pleased, this is definately a tough 6 miles but the weather was perfect and conditions on the hill were ideal.
