Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Applecross UPDATE - official time 13 secs faster than my watch. 253rd out of about 15000! Still beaten by a few runners I know from other events though :-(
Bit of a glass half-full/half-empty result; relatively slow over a flat course compared to PB, but decent time considering was still coughing up lung contents this time last week. However, the race itself was marvellous - the organisation, support and atmosphere is fantastic. Well done all who took part and a big thank you to the wee bagpiper at 1 km for totally making my day :-)

Clumsula First 10K! Unofficail time, forgot to stop my watch cos I was too busy waving my hands at the end!!

Brilliant day, really well organised.
Started slowly,as pains in my legs a bit, walked for 20 second intervals til the pain subsided, but once I was in my stride it was okay. Fantastic support from crowd and marshalls. Suprise shouts from family at 5 k mark - just when I was thinking about a cheeky stroll! That soon geed me up. The shade of Pollok park was a welcome relief, and a big thank you to two mystery males who gave me a big hug!! Shower area was a great idea, just what the hot body needed. Tricky in Pollok park to weave in and out of people that were walking, 3 and 4 abreast talking - that was a downside of it. Coming out of the park with only 2k to go, texted OH and kids to let them know I wouldnt be long, and that seemed to go really quickly - everyone was really cheering by this point, and coming into finish was fantastic, and yes I did have a wee cry when spotted my gang just past the finishing line.
Really brilliant - will do this again!!! :-)

Debstir Forgot to put in predicted time but I had said anything under 55 mins I'd be happy as this is not a course for a PB (never been a course for a good time at all for me). So how do you think I feel with 51:43?!! Interested to see my chip time (hope it's the same!). Will update when I find out...
Found out - 51:44!!

Gus My very first race and what a great start. The crowds cheering us on and the pipers at every 1K checkpoint. Had a great day despite that hill in the park!! Will be back next year to make a better time. Congratulations to everyone who helped organise this event, and especially whoever booked the weather!

Hee Jung Had a great time, ran with my best friend from home and had a fab run together chatting and enjoying ourselves. We decided to just enjoy the day and not worry too much about the clock, but we did still want to make it under an hour and we did, so happy about that. Fab course, wonderful atmosphere, well organised, great volunteers and as ever, the Scottish supports are superb!

libby Great day as always, and I cracked 50 mins! (although I'll see the final chip time before it goes in here). Hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as me.
EDIT: well, just cracked 50 as you can see above - I'll leave space for light to shine through next time!
