About this parkrun
One large lap, very hilly, hard packed trail round an old colliery site. Not well marshalled so listen to briefing and keep your wits about you. Glorious section through the woodsWill_Uyuni 7th Jan 2019
One lap, off road and on compacted trials.
Fine in road shoes during the summer months, 2 big hills in the first 1.5 miles and then a steady up hill on the home straight that no one talks about.
Comes in slightly long at just over 5km.

When the marshall at mile 2 point says it is all downhill to the finish don't believe them because they are lying - the course bumps up and down all the way to the finish.

Lovely course, it is hilly though. First couple of miles have some beasty hills on. The last mile or so generally flat and downhill so a nice finish. Cafe lovely after. Only one loo, at the cafe if it's open early enough. Friendly team.
