Jonny I ran along the canal to the start which was about 4 miles. The route was mixed terrain, mostly on road but with patches along trails. Single track parts didn't cause a probelm. I ran it fairly evenly paced even though I felt I was tiring at 7km. Quite pleased with my time.

Heavyweight This covers some of my regular training routes - will be interesting to see how it works out as some of the footpaths & towpath are quite narrow in places. Very well organised & marshalled - the single file sections weren't too bad. Bit crowded at the start but apart from that a lovely race.
