BenDy Bit disappointed with the time, really thought I could get under 2 hours but it was very congested for the 1st couple of miles which didn't help but what really did me was the wind!

MarkC Didn't go all out to race this today, just to get back into the swing of it. Started gently but was feeling OK by halfway so I put in some quicker miles. If my head was in the right place I reckon I could manage this in sub-2hrs, but not today. Where did that feppin' wind come from at 8 miles??? Finished quite strongly but my right knee is sore now. Hope I've not picked up an injury.

SparkyMark First race of club road race championships. Prediction on time later as calculator says 1:57. Will see how Wokingham goes first UPDATE - Fantastic day for a race, sunshine a bit of wind to keep things cool. Hilly course - well hills at 8 and 11 (others would have said there were more - RUBBISH! :-) Went of a bit quick passed rival at 2 miles, then settled down. Was on target until 8, then the short sharp hill. Started getting tight quad and piriformis (pain in the @rse litterally!) slowed me down, tried to push, but not there. got through 11-12 hill and then managed to pick things up again, but was way off schedule. In a way I should be pleased with time, but feel that I was not on form today. Good points for club though today :-)
