Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

PentlandPounder That was a bit of a slog. Not helped by the 12 mile cycle commute beforehand or the free Red Bull I wolfed down just before the start. Not a great time, but quite enjoyed the challenging course, in a wierd way.

Runnersleep I really love to hate this course - its just one bloody climb after another - then you have to do it all again.
Still - got round ok and pleased with time.
Will I do it again - Of course I will.

Ribenaface (RFSQL) Had to peg it from the train station to get there on time. This is quite a higgledy-piggledy wiggly-wriggly course meandering in and out of the park a few times so it helps my appalling pacing.

Debstir No PB here, tough wee course and will probably still be tired after Lochaber. UPDATE: Not a bad time considering I ran (a slow) 6m last night & did a leg weights session in the gym this afternoon! Was pleasantly surprised when a marshall told us we were going up the hill for the last time - I had it in my head we ran through the park 3 times! Happy with my time until I got home & realised I was a minute slower than last year. Still not bad (for me) on a tough wee course although by 4.5m I had had enough and just wanted to stop. Didn't though :-)

Fat Boy As the race director of the Auld Toun 10K which is promoted by Carnegie Harriers I hope everyone who took part enjoyed our event despite the hills. Maybe it's not the best idea to organise and run the race as well as I was well below par this evening and really struggled. However after a few months of planning, a busy day setting everything up today I personally was delighted with how the event went overall and the race results will be posted on the Carnegie Harriers website at www.carnegie-harriers.co.uk

Baza This is a tough route, but good support most of the way round. Local 10K for me so need to do my best, expect a big turn out from my club at this one. *Update* Cracking night for the run, but a poor showing from my club, I just hope they turn out for the Half on Sunday!! Anyway, the 1st 4 mile was fine but then struggled on the hill for some reason. Pleased with my time though. Looking forward to the 5K on Saturday now. Good to meet andy at last!!

_andy It's really a fell race that happens to be on tarmac. 41:40 is a PB for the course. Saw loads of Fetchies too.

Smout
Planned on an easy not too much faster than Marathon pace then somehow set out quite comfy-ish, spoke to Frank while running first tim up the big hill and then realised at half-way I was sub 50 pace so just tried to keep going!

Dvorak Tough. Used my bodyweight to roll down the hills, alarming a few on the way I think, but struggled on the ups. A mad dash to get there, registering fifteen minutes pre-start got the adrenaline flowing. Started ok, then picked up pace too much and paid at the end (splits 26:50/28:46). I could say it was due having no distance markers (well, except halfway) but I knew I was doing it. Still, a well organised race in pleasant surrounding on a lovely evening. Saw Fetchies Bungee and _andy (three races in five days - madness ;-))
