jonnyhotpants I had planned to take this race fairly easy but as ever I couldn't just dawdle along in a race so I went for it. My legs were a little tired after last week's marathon but not too bad. Managed to maintain a pretty reasonable pace but unfortunately forgot to stop my watch at the finish!! Official time was 1:14:05 in a position of 171 out of 490 (153rd man out of 334)

RFJ Not the best prep for a race, doing a night shift at Birmingham New St Station before a race... managed to get a couple of hours sleep.... Plan was to crack 67:30 to show that I am improving and getting back to where I should (want) to be which is 65s for 10m. Alton 10m has 1 big hill at 7m but the rest is rolling with little or no flat spots..... kicked on and got 66:59 and 60th place, very happy. Splits 6:32, 6:44, 6:42, 6:13, 6:47, 6:23, 7:19, 6:44, 6:40, 6:32 and .17 for the last bit, spot the up and the down.....
