Northern Exile: I know this. However, it's vermin and it's eating in my garden. It has to stop. -

Meglet: Watch out, they chew through plastic really easily, will ruin your feeder! I had to get metal ones! -

firemannotsam: Its no more vermin than any other animal, it has a right to eat. Get a squirrel proof feeder if thay are a problem. -

Nick Cook: I put peanuts out specifically for the squirrel now. It keeps him away from the seed and fatballs for the birds! -

Northern Exile: We have differing opinions here. Definitely vermin in my book. If it was a red squirrel I would be putting food out for it ... -

Pootle: Looking at the state of those peanuts, squibble will be dead soon anyway. Peanuts left out in feeders go poisonous after a week or two slowly killing anything that eats them, squirels and birds alike. -

Northern Exile: These have been out for maybe 3 - 4 days? I didn't know this .... hopefully they give Mr Squibble a severe tummy-ache at the very least. -

Pootle: I didn't know either until I watched a Chris Packham thing the other week. He was saying that if peanuts are left out for extended periods of time and you notice fewer and fewer birds coming to your garden it is because you have killed them all off *sad face*
