Today I introduced my mother to Wordle, which she had seen mentioned in the news. It gave her some brainache. The official record for today shows 6, though I would have got it in 5. In guess #5, I suggested she choose a word containing any as-yet untried vowels. Then I wrote down what we had (two corrects and three letters) and suggested she tried just writing down the letters in the spaces until a word appeared. I also gave her an oblique clue.

Half an hour and an intervening task later, she came back to me with the answer :-) I don't think I've made a convert ... still, we'll see tomorrow.
