We took Jess on a train last summer, she was pretty good - not sure at first but was a lot more settled on the return journey.

Jess is four in August, LD's Flossie is a month or so older I think. All the original gang of puppies are a similar age. Makes sense really!

Dexter is great on the train and the bus. Just not the car. I'm driving back to my parents tonight and will have to listen to him pant for two and half hours. Well, to be fair, he isn't as bad as that once we are on the motorway (fortunately most of which the journey is), but I still find it very distressing about how distressed he is.
When we stop at the services for some food and drink, he settles down providing the engine is off. But in the winter if the engine is on and not moving (to keep us nice and warm) he is still distressed

I trust you've all seen the photo D2 posted today? She's rather busy today according to her blog so I will take the extreme liberty of copying her pic in here....
it needs to be done!

DMcDF is going to be such a such a star of this thread
Poor Dexter RA. Wanda used to be car sick and hated the car, but she is much more settled now. It also helps that I changed my car to one which has better suspension and she has a much less bumpy ride in this one

Have you tried asking your vet about giving something to Dexter to relieve his stress? I'm sure I've seen somewhere that there are 'natural' remedies that will help. Will post a weblink if I can find one.
Be good if there was a horsey thread but I've never seen one. Perhaps we should start one?!
