Bryony looks as though she's grinning!

Charlie graduated from Puppy School tonight - nice certificate, rosette and goody bag. He won Musical Mats convincingly and walked on a loose lead beautifully (why won't he walk outside, when he's so happy to trot up and down the length of the village hall?) He's now snoring on the sofa.

We'll sign up for the Bronze Level starting after Easter. I don't think it's the KC Good Citizen scheme but seems to cover the same things.

The vet picked up an ear infection at Charlie's 2nd vaccinations, the day after his free pet insurance ran out. So far, his ear has cost me

4x vet consultations @ £34 each (:-o and tonight's only lasted 5 minutes!)
2x different types of ear drops @ approx £20 each
Swab test @ £50

We're due one last (hopefully) vet visit next week to make sure it's finally cleared. I'm not sure how much of this would have been covered by insurance (I know there was a surplus to pay) but I'm hoping we don't need to visit again for a few months!!!

Bryony has been a complete b*gger today, all teeth and attitude, one more day like this and she is going back.

Well done Charlie... are you renewing the insurance Alice?
Hang on in there D2 :-)

Wanda made a new friend today - a Golden Lab called Bramble. I say friend, they mainly ignored each other but in my book that counts as 'friend' :-)

Hang in D2. We didn't experience the puppy stages but are well aware of how hard it can be.

Lol Baroness with Floss I tell OH that there was 'companionable ignoring' in situations like that :-)

I'm not sure what to do about the insurance. I don't remember the Petplan details, except that it was going to cost around £35 a month and there would be an excess to pay on any claims. Just seems a LOT.

Quick question regarding dog tags. I'm just reading through the Ts and Cs for the Bronze classes and it mentions that the dog must have a tag with owner's name and address on. Charlie's tag has our address and phone number on but not our name - are we breaking the law???

They're not expensive, I'll probably get another one anyway just to be on the safe side:-)

YES it's the law: owner's name and address including post code. Phone optional.

What you don't need and could be inadvisable anyway is the DOG"S name. Think about it!

We use my surname - which is a first name anyway - address and post code and phone
