Ruby is lovely. Been looking at puppy pics of Arlo today. Miss how little he was, but been having some really nice times with him recently.

Our lab Murphy just loves playing ball. Our garden is narrow and north facing, and until the last couple of days has been an absolute quagmire with half the grassy area a sea of mud. I was hoping drier weather would give the area a chance for recovery but I think it might just move straight to "dust bowl".
Do I just accept the garden damage as the price for (very) happy dog?
He's only 11 months so may be less interested as he gets older. We're certainly not gardeners but as its not our own house (OH is a minister) i do feel some sense of responsibility to repair or at least prevent worsening over next winter.

Ernie is 5 and still loves playing ball (although heโs not allowed any more).

Aah, why is Ernie no longer allowed? Does he have joint injuries?

He managed to injure his neck with his acrobatics. Itโs permanent so we have to be careful.

On a related topic, I'm looking at quotes for pet insurance. Any advice?

We've always gone with Direct Line as we have other policies with them and (allegedly allegedly) got a discount because of that. But the main reason is that they have always been very easy to deal with when we've had to claim (no quibble at all over Flossie's TPLO a while back!)
