We bought Boots a new purple squeaky toy a few weeks ago. Within minutes he’d chewed the ends off it. No purple rubber turned up in his poo tho. He also found food in a tinfoil wrap a few days later. Ate the lot.
Two weeks later he threw up every morning for three days. First time, tiny bits of tin foil. Second time, some of the toy (no longer purple), third day, the last few bits of the toy.
It's great WL. The hardest part is waiting until they are at least 12 months for a medium dog. It seemed to take forever! She loves it though - and she makes me a minute a mile faster so I can't complain
I bought all the canicross equipment (harness, belt and bungee) in a sale they had a few weeks ago. Arlo is only 7 months so still got 5 to go. But once he is big enough to fit the harness, want to get him used to wearing it and I'm going to start with the commands after Christmas.
Hoping he is as fast as my friends cocker who I ran a double new years parkrun with this year. Both in 19 minutes and she was pulling me the whole way round both.
Good idea to learn some commands first. The look of amazement on peoples faces when you come to a crossroad and say LEFT and the dog turns instantly is priceless!
Luna is about 19min 30 for 5k at the minute but it's mainly me holding her back - need a bit more speedwork myself!
